After an extremely successful Springtime run, the Cape Breton Summertime Revue Reunion returns for three August dates! Fifteen of Cape Breton’s finest singers, actors and musicians combine forces to bring to the stage some of the funniest sketches and best loved music from twelve years of the island’s most successful music and comedy production.
Members of the original cast, including Bette MacDonald, Maynard Morrison, Max MacDonald, Matt Minglewood, Richard Burke, Wendy MacIsaac, Fred Lavery, Allie Bennett, Dave McKeough and Brian Talbot, will once again hit the stage in a benefit performance for the Savoy Theatre. They will be joined by 'Three Pianos' member, Stephen Muise.
Special guests include The Cottars, who have just released their highly anticipated CD, 'Feast'. This will be a night to remember and not to be missed. We’ll catch up with some of our favorite characters in comedy sketches and we’ll hear some musical favorites as well from these immensely talented artists. Produced by 2010 ECMA Industry Award winner, Stephen MacDonald, this Reunion promises to be a phenomenal event.
